Doctors can quickly diagnose this. The solution is an appendectomy, to remove the organ before it ruptures.<\/p>\n<p>That was not Erin\u2019s situation. Instead, her appendix would burst \u2014 which is already bad. And then it would heal itself before bursting again.<\/p>\n<p>Doctors found a tremendous amount of internal scar tissue amongst her organs. She opened up about her hospital stay on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CdmIlLPpZJr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Instagram<\/a> at the time.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cStaying tonight in the hospital after a throat procedure, and feeling so cared for by an old friend,\u201d Erin wrote at the time.<\/p>\n<p>However, Erin chose to hold off on opening up about why she had required surgery in the first place. As we have all seen over the past several years, surviving a virus doesn\u2019t always mean that it leaves you unchanged.
