The Real Housewives of Dubai<\/em> <\/a>star Caroline Stanbury<\/strong> is defending her use of the controversial weight loss drug Ozempic.<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter 40, we all know, it\u2019s very, very hard to lose weight,\u201d Stanbury, 48, said during a recent episode of the \u201cUncut & Uncensored\u201d<\/a> podcast. \u201cI met so many 40-year-old women going, \u2018How have you done it?\u2019 And I don\u2019t want to lie to you. I told you, I used Ozempic, which I think is one of the best tools if you\u2019re able to use it.\u201d<\/p>\n

While Stanbury noted that an \u201cunhappy, depressed woman\u201d is \u201cnot much fun to be around,\u201d she added that she\u2019s \u201ctruly happy now.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat did Kate Moss<\/strong> say? \u2018Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels.\u2019 There\u2019s something to be said for that,\u201d Stanbury said, adding that Ozempic has given her \u201ccomplete confidence\u201d to wear a bikini.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tOzempic has become a hot topic when it comes to weight loss \u2014 with some stars confirming they have used the drug while others denied it. Chelsea Handler admitted during a January 2023 episode of the \u201cCall Her Daddy\u201d podcast that she unknowingly took the Type 2 diabetes medication, which is traditionally used to improve [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

After using the medication, which is intended for patients with type 2 diabetes and not recommended for casual weight loss, Stanbury said she realized that \u201chard core training\u201d tends to make her hungrier.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy body is quite small and responds really really fast to things,\u201d she explained. \u201c[My husband] Sergio [Carrallo]<\/strong> is always like, \u2018Oh, my God, look at your body or your abs or your arm.\u2019 It doesn\u2019t take a lot to get the shape back for me. And if you\u2019re lean and skinny in where you were before, again, you\u2019ll see differences much faster.\u201d<\/p>\n

Carrallo, 29, who wed Stanbury in December 2021<\/a>, noted, \u201cFrom a professional background in sports, I think you\u2019ve found your balance now.\u201d He added that Stanbury now has to \u201clearn how to maintain that weight.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not looking to win body of the year award,\u201d Stanbury said. \u201cI\u2019m comfortable in pictures. I don\u2019t have those awful arms that go back and you feel flappy, and all the things that I didn\u2019t like about myself. Now, I\u2019m extremely happy when I see myself in pictures.\u201d<\/p>\n
