Shania Twain<\/strong><\/a> has shone a light on Taylor Swift<\/a><\/strong>\u2019s talents once again.<\/p>\n

The Queen of Country Pop, 58, has nothing but praise for Swift, 34, and believes Swift\u2019s influence on the music industry is as significant as her own.<\/p>\n

\u201cI know that she\u2019s doing the same in her own right for other young artists coming up behind her, because she is a very brave artist and a very, very hard working one,\u201d Twain said in an interview with Extra<\/em><\/a> that was published on Tuesday, May 28. \u201cShe\u2019s a fabulous example for anybody coming up behind her.\u201d<\/p>\n

Twain detailed how her early wardrobe choices, which included skin-baring midriffs and pop-inspired theatrics, may have ruffled feathers at the time, but it eventually helped artists like Swift express themselves.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen the artists themselves speak, [and] reference me, or they\u2019re showing respect or when we talk, they share that it inspired them to feel more liberated,\u201d Twain said. \u201c[It] gave them a little more of a sense of self-confidence in taking those chances \u2026 that\u2019s a huge compliment.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added that when Swift, who has spoken openly and even written about Twain\u2019s influence on her career in the past, references Twain these days, \u201cit really warms\u201d Twain\u2019s heart and makes her \u201cvery happy.\u201d<\/p>\n

The \u201cMan! I Feel Like a Woman!\u201d hitmaker recently commented on Swift\u2019s work ethic during an April interview for Haute Living<\/em><\/a>. Twain, who performed with Swift<\/a> at the 2019 American Music Awards, detailed her admiration for Swift\u2019s career devotion.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe is living an exhausting existence, but she\u2019s dedicated and committed to herself, to her art, and her work,\u201d Twain said. \u201cIt isn\u2019t even about ambition, though I\u2019m sure that most people would call her ambitious.\u201d<\/p>\n

In 2010, the \u201cShake It Off\u201d singer gushed about her idol at the CMA Fest, formerly named CMA Music Festival.<\/p>\n
