Summer House<\/em><\/a> newcomer West Wilson<\/strong><\/a> didn\u2019t expect to become the Bravo show\u2019s breakout star \u2014 especially when it comes to the conversation about his body.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve had a couple of guys DM me who claim to not be good looking or in shape and they\u2019re like, you know, \u2018I feel so seen by you,\u2019\u201d West, 28, told The New York Times<\/em><\/a> in a profile published on Sunday, May 26. \u201cIf the overweight man felt seen by me \u2014 like if that\u2019s my role \u2014 then let\u2019s do it I guess.\u201d<\/p>\n

West added: \u201cI\u2019m here for it.\u201d Although he did say that messages from fans about his personality being attractive have made him think twice about being \u201csort of handsome.\u201d<\/p>\n

The article made it clear that West is 5-foot-11, though appearing on TV next to men who are over 6-foot causes fans to mistake him as shorter. His humorous demeanor and immediate bromance<\/a> with fellow Summer House<\/em> season 8 newbie Jesse Solomon<\/strong> have made him a star.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tWhat happens in the Hamptons rarely stays there \u2014 at least when it comes to the cast of Summer House and their romances. In fact, some of the show\u2019s biggest stars, including Lindsay Hubbard and Carl Radke\u00a0have a history of dating their costars. Lindsay began her time on Bravo during season 1 with then-boyfriend Everett [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Before agreeing to join the show, West told Bravo\u2019s production team that he refused to become \u201canother white guy who gets pigeonholed into being some douchey, fratty, dumb, racist Missouri guy,\u201d he recalled to the NYT<\/em>. \u201cBecause I know that I\u2019m not.\u201d<\/p>\n

When Summer House<\/em> season 8 premiered in February, West made his debut as the sports writer who had just gotten laid off from Bleacher Report. (Viewers watched as he nabbed a job with Complex.)<\/p>\n

\u201cMy severance ended that weekend,\u201d West told the NYT<\/em>, remembering the moment he was cast on Summer House<\/em>. \u201cI came home, and it was like the most depressing Monday of all time.\u201d<\/p>\n

Thanks to Lindsay Hubbard<\/strong>, the show\u2019s producers reached out and got the ball rolling. Once it came time to shoot the show, West quickly found himself falling for Ciara Miller<\/strong>. Their slow burn romance has played out through the entirety of season 8.<\/p>\n

While both West and Ciara have been doing various interviews to promote the show, they\u2019ve stayed tight-lipped<\/a> about where their relationship stands.<\/p>\n
