Karen Waldrup<\/strong> is showing off her singing talents as a contestant on season 25 of The Voice<\/em><\/a>. Who is the Louisiana native and she\u2019s made it all the way to the finale! The talented singer will perform with the four other finalists during the May 20, 2024, episode. Karen is a country music singer who lives in Nashville, Tennessee. She is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana, and is a full-time singer and songwriter.<\/span><\/p>\n In 2018, Karen released her debut album Justified<\/em>, which was followed by the EP Kendall Country Road<\/em> in 2023. She is an official BMI songwriter and a member of the Grammys Recording Academy and Country Music Association. Karen has also toured all over the world and has performed in 15 countries.<\/span><\/p>\n The rising country star started singing as a child and began playing guitar when she was 16. She graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi and moved to Nashville to pursue her music career in 2008.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Karen appeared on Bravo\u2019s Platinum Hit<\/em> in 2011. She was eliminated during week 3 and came in 10th place. The show, which was hosted by Kara DioGuardi <\/strong>and Jewel<\/strong>, required contestants to write and perform songs from varying genres.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n For her blind audition on The Voice<\/em>, Karen sang Jo Dee Messina\u2019s<\/strong> song \u201cBye Bye.\u201d Dan + Shay<\/strong> turned around almost immediately and used their one block to prevent<\/a> Reba McEntire<\/strong> from getting Karen on her team. John Legend <\/strong>and Chance the Rapper<\/strong> did not turn around, so Dan + Shay became Karen\u2019s coaches.<\/span><\/p>\n During the battle rounds, Karen sang one of the duo\u2019s own songs called \u201cSave Me the Trouble.\u201d They picked her as the winner against Ryan Argast<\/strong>. Karen will sing again during the knockout round on the April 15, 2024, episode.<\/span><\/p>\n She then performed \u201cGeorgia Rain\u201d in the knockout round and was selected over Ducote Talmage to advance to the playoffs. There, her performance of \u201cHeart Like a Truck\u201d helped her move into the live shows.<\/p>\n In the quarterfinals, Karen sang \u201cI Hope You Dance\u201d and received enough viewer votes to make it to the semifinals, where she sang a rendition of \u201cStay\u201d and earned her spot in the finals.<\/p>\n
