Taylor Swift<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s The Tortured Poets Department<\/em> is one of the most talked about albums of 2024 \u2013 and not just amongst her fans.<\/p>\n

Celebrities and friends like Lana Del Rey<\/strong>, Sophie Turner<\/strong> and more have been outspoken about their love for Swift\u2019s 11th studio album, which she announced<\/a> during her acceptance speech for Best Pop Vocal Record at the 66th annual Grammy Awards in February 2024.<\/p>\n

\u201c[The way I can celebrate] is by telling you a secret that I\u2019ve been keeping from you for the past two years, which is that my brand new album comes out April 19th,\u201d she told the crowd. \u201cIt\u2019s called The Tortured Poets Department<\/em> and I\u2019m going to go post the cover right now backstage.\u201d<\/p>\n

After posting the black-and-white artwork for the album, which showed Swift lying across a bed in black lingerie, the 14-time Grammy winner wrote via Instagram, \u201cAnd so I enter into evidence my tarnished coat of arms.\u201d<\/p>\n

After the album was released in April 2024, Swift surprised fans<\/a> hours later by releasing 15 more songs.<\/p>\n

Turner \u2013 who crashed at Swift\u2019s Tribeca home after her separation from Joe Jonas<\/strong> following four years of marriage \u2013 posted a screenshot<\/a> of her favorite jam, \u201cWho\u2019s Afraid of Little Old Me?\u201d via her Instagram Story.<\/p>\n

Antonoff, who along with The National frontman Aaron Dessner<\/strong> produced and cowrote TTPD<\/em>, said via Instagram<\/a> that his top moment from working on the album was \u201cthe day we made \u2018Down Bad.’\u201d<\/p>\n

While accepting the award for Best Pop Vocal Album, Swift celebrated her 13th career win by confirming that her new album is coming sooner than fans might have thought. \u201c[The way I can celebrate] is by telling you a secret [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Maya, a longtime Swiftie who turned dad Ethan into a fan, revealed two of her favorite songs via her Instagram Story<\/a>: \u201cI Can Do It With a Broken Heart\u201d and \u201cBut Daddy I Love Him,\u201d the latter of which she captioned, \u201cWhat the heck this is sooo good.\u201d<\/p>\n

Though Ethan has yet to reveal a favorite track, he appeared in the music video for the album\u2019s first single, \u201cFortnight (ft. Post Malone<\/strong>),\u201d alongside his Dead Poets Society<\/em> costar and lifelong friend Josh Charles<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe got this call: \u2018Taylor\u2019s releasing an album, The Tortured Poets Department<\/em>. And I think she wanted to hide a little easter egg about Dead Poets Society<\/em> in it,\u201d Ethan said during a May 2024 appearance<\/a> on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert<\/em>.<\/p>\n
