Miley Cyrus is singing about her future husband Maxx Morando on her new song “Let’s Get Married,” featured on her brand new album Bass Persuades.
The singer has been dating Maxx for six years and they got engaged last year.
“We’ve been together six years, and I’ve never gotten the ick. All of a sudden I got in my head, I was like, ‘Oh my God, we’re about to get married. What if I get the ick?’” Miley said on Apple Music. “I asked him, ‘What happens if you get the ick once you’re married?’ He’s like, ‘You deal with it and you move on and you don’t be a baby. The ick is for when you’re in fifth grade.’”

Maxx did ick her recently though. She said, “He did something that icked me for a minute. I was like, ‘Don’t ever do that again. It gave me the ick.’”
Miley is clearly ready to marry Maxx though.
She sings on the new song, “Let’s go get married tonight / Let’s get married / I’m having visions of white / Let’s get married / Let’s turn the rest of our lives to a holiday / Anytime, any place, we can run away / Get married tonight (Diamonds dancing on me) / Let’s get married.”
Miley will be performing songs from Bass Persuades at her sold-out Hollywood Bowl shows in October 2026. She has teased that a residency is in the works for the future.
