An official look at the cast of ‘Game of Thrones: The Mad King’ has been released. The play is currently in previews.
Left to right, the portrait includes Tanisha Spring as Ashara Dayne, Elizabeth Ayodele as Princess Elia Martell, Mariah Gayle as Queen Rhaella Targaryen, Callum Woodhouse as Lord Robert Baratheon, Michael Shaeffer as King Aerys II Targaryen, Harmony Rose-Bremner as Lyanna Stark, Luke Brady as Brandon Stark, Noah Ritter as Prince Rhaegar Targaryen and Michael Abubakar as Eddard Stark.
The play is an adaptation of the books focusing on Tourney at Harrenhal and Robert’s Rebellion. The play is adapted by Duncan Macmillan and directed by Dominic Cooke; George R.R. Martin collaborated with Macmillan and shared some new lore but the play is not strictly canon.
There are some fairly controversial revelations in the play and spoilers are online.
