Dancing With the StarsGleb Savchenko is dropping his wisdom on a future crop of pros.

“Don’t date your partners,” Savenchko, 42, exclusively quipped to Us Weekly at the Dancing With the Stars: The Next Pro watch party on Monday, July 13. “Don’t do it. Even if they really want to, don’t do it. Even if it’s gonna cost you a season, don’t do it. Don’t try to make it work.”

He continued at the event in The Palm & The Pine in Hollywood, “Don’t do it because it’s like a box of chocolate. You never know which one you’re gonna get. Might be a really bitter one inside and they’re gonna f*** up with your whole life. You know what I mean?”

Savchenko famously pursued a romantic relationship with DWTS season 33 partner Brooks Nader, who he was on and off with for less than a year from September 2024 to April 2025.

Disney/Eric McCandless Dancing With the Stars pro Gleb Savchenko is ready to get back into the ballroom with Brooks Nader for the season 33 finale. “I feel excited. I feel excited to dance,” Savchenko, 41, exclusively told Us Weekly at the 1st Annual Gurus Awards on Sunday, November 10. “I feel excited to do another […]

“We started being intimate [on] day one … like, the day I met him,” Nader, 29, shared on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen in December 2025. “I was newly divorced [from Billy Haire], and I told [ABC] to give me the hottest, douchiest guy, and they gave me Gleb. I felt as though there was so much sexual tension on the first day we met that it would just get worse and worse, and I just wanted to … see what we’re working with.”

Savchenko went on to be partnered with Hilaria Baldwin the following season, which Robert Irwin and pro Witney Carson won. While several celebrity contestants — including Ciara Miller, Maura Higgins and more — have been announced for DWTS season 35 airing this fall, a full cast list has yet to be revealed.

In the meantime, Savenchko shared that he’s “excited” to be watching DWTS: The Next Pro, a spinoff show where the winner will earn a spot as a pro next season.

“I think it’s going to be a good show,” Savchenko told Us. “We get to see all the new talent. We don’t have So You Think You Can Dance anymore. I think it’s a great addition for the fans while they’re having this long break in between the seasons to watch another dance show, which is really good, and then kind of transitions. The first place goes and becomes a pro for the next season. I think it’s a great idea.”

Dancing With the Stars: The Next Pro airs on ABC Mondays at 8 p.m.
