Update to this post
Two weeks ago it was announced that Norway’s Crown Princess Mette-Marit was placed on a lung transplant waiting list due to her rare form of pulmonary fibrosis, which had gotten worse. Today, the palace has announced that Mette-Marit has successfully undergone a lung transplant at Oslo University Hospital, and is currently recovering from the surgery. She will remain hospitalized for the next few weeks and no further updates will come about her health until she is discharged.
On Monday her son, Marius Borg Høiby, was sentenced to four years in prison after he was found guilty on 34 charges, including 2 counts of (TW)[Spoiler (click to open)]rape. He reportedly secretly visited her in the hospital in the wake of her surgery.
