Lin-Manuel Miranda, who wrote most of the songs for the original 2016 animated film Moana, has written a new song for the upcoming live action adaptation of Moana. The new song, Along the Way, features Auliʻi Cravalho (the original 2016 Moana), Catherine Laga’aia (the new live action Moana), and Dwayne Johnson (who plays Maui in both versions).

He was previously nominated for two Oscars. The first was for How Far I’ll Go from Moana (forever mad that City of Stars from La La Land, an objectively terrible song, won instead). His second Oscar nomination was for Dos Oruguitas from Encanto (No Time to Die by Billie Eilish won that year).
