The Devil Wears Prada 2 had an incredible hold in its second weekend at the box office, falling just 44% to bring in another $43 million. This was enough to win the weekend, and bring its total box office to $144.8 million domestic and $433 million worldwide.
In second place was Mortal Kombat II, which brought in $40 million in North America and $23 million overseas, for a total take of $63 million in its first weekend. The sequel, which had a production budget of $80 million, has received fairly positive reviews, and a B Cinemascore.
Third spot belonged to Michael, which only declined 33% for a $36.5 million third weekend. So far, it has made $240.4 million domestic and $577 million globally.
In fourth place was Sheep Detectives with $15.9 million, a 93% Rotten Tomatoes average and an A-Cinemascore. The book adaptation cost $75 million to produce, but Amazon likely hopes that word of mouth will give it legs.
Paramount’s Billie Eilish – Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour, opened to a slightly soft $7.5 million domestic for fifth place. But it made $12.6 million overseas, so the James Cameron-directed concert film has brought in $20 million altogether. It received excellent reviews and an A Cinemascore, and contributed to this weekend’s box office being up 88% from the same period in 2025.
