Bobby Cannavale is celebrating his birthday with his three kids!
In honor of his 56th birthday, the Emmy-winning actor took to his Instagram on Sunday (May 3) to share a very rare photo with his three sons – Jake, 31, Rocco, 10, and Rafa, 8.
“What a life! 56 today, can’t believe it,” Bobby wrote. “What an honor to be Dad to these 3. Thanks for all the birthday wishes, people. Xx”
Along with his message, Bobby shared a photo of himself and his three sons going to blow out the candles on his birthday cake.
Bobby shares Jake with ex-wife Jenny Lumet and shares Rocco and Rafa with longtime partner Rose Byrne.
If you didn’t know, Jake is also an actor and he has worked with his dad on two TV shows – Nurse Jackie and Scarpetta.
In an interview from earlier this year, Jake said that playing the younger version of Bobby in Scarpetta brought the two of them closer together.
“There’s this very sort of, dare I say, mature understanding that happens as the son of anybody when you realize what your parent does to feel this sense of purpose,” Jake told People. “My dad was an actor before he was a dad, and he’ll always be both of those things, but really seeing the thing that gave him drive in this life now as a young man and not just his son was really cool and really humbling and definitely enhanced our relationship and made me a better artist, I’d say.”
Rose recently defended Bobby for skipping the 2026 Golden Globes, where she won Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture — Musical or Comedy for If I Had Legs I’d Kick You, to attend a reptile expo.
