-She says it seems like Lauren Weisberger (the author of TDWP) had an “Ivy League” mentality and viewed the tasks at the job as beneath her and didn’t take fashion seriously. Fremar couldn’t relate to that and loved fashion and photography. She and Weisberger haven’t spoken since the book was released, and she said she felt betrayed.
-Talks about parts of the film that are accurate. She had a pair of Birkenstocks under her desk so she could switch into something more comfortable when Anna wasn’t around. One time Anna “caught” her and just stared at her shoes. There were also “unofficial” rules like not eating at your desk and not going to the bathroom if an assistant wasn’t ‘t there.

-Says Anna Wintour never asked about anything personal, and she likes that style and that it’s important to keep boundaries.
-She said that there was a point where the company wasn’t going to extend her working contract over visa issues. Anna saw her crying, walked away uncomfortably, then called her a few minutes later asking why she was crying. After Leslie explained, Anna said, “Ugh, just stop crying.” So Anna called in the publisher and told him he needed to make Leslie stop crying and fix her visa issues.
-She once encountered Emily Blunt at a party and told her that she was the real-life Emily, but Emily Blunt didn’t seem to care lol
