Patrick Muldoon has passed away.
The actor, who starred on Days of Our Lives for several years, died on Sunday morning (April 19) after suffering a heart attack, according to Deadline.

While his career has spanned decades in TV and film, Patrick is best known for originating the role of Austin Reed on Days of Our Lives.
The actor played the character from 1992 to 1995, and once again from 2011 to 2012. Last year, he was speculated to return to the show!
His other credits include the original Melrose Place, as well as stints on Saved by the Bell and Who’s the Boss?, as well as movies like Super Troopers, Saving Christmas, and a slew of TV movies. Later this year, he’s set to star in the movie Dirty Hands.
Just last month, Patrick was seen in attendance at the 2026 Saturn Awards.
Those close to the actor have described him as “endlessly generous — with his poetry, his humor, and his unmistakable presence,” with friends saying he “loved animals and people alike, gave unforgettable hugs, and possessed a rare quality of making others feel safe and seen.”
They added that he was “stylish, charismatic, and full of life, he embraced each day with a full-tilt, rock ’n’ roll spirit.”
Patrick is survived by his partner Miriam Rothbart, paretns Deanna and Patrick Muldoon Sr, sister and brother-in-law Shana and Ahmet Zappa, and their children, niece Halo and nephew Arrow Zappa.
