Michael Trevino is a dad!
The 41-year-old actor, best known for playing Tyler Lockwood on The Vampire Diaries, took to Instagram on Monday (April 6) to announce that he and wife Bregje Heinen have welcomed their first child, a baby boy.
Michael and the 33-year-old Dutch model/actress shared the exciting news by sharing a black and white photo of the newborn holding his parents’ fingers.

After sharing the news of Jack‘s birth, several of Michael‘s former Vampire Diaries co-stars congratulated the couple on the newborn’s arrival.
“Congratulations!!!! Love all 3 of you!” Nina Dobrev wrote as Kayla Ewell added, “Couldn’t be more excited! Welcome Jack!”
Gossip Girl actress Jessica Szhor also congratulated the new parents, writing in the comment section, “Congratulations ❤️❤️❤️ buckle up for the best ride of your life:)”
If you didn’t know, Michael and Bregje began dating in 2020 and got engaged on Christmas Eve in 2023. They married in June 2025 in Spain and announced that Bregje was pregnant on New Year’s Eve in December 2025.
