Meryl Streep is recalling a slightly NSFW joke that Colin Firth made while they were filming Mamma Mia.

The 76-year-old acting legend visited The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Wednesday (April 1) in New York City and told the host about a hilarious moment that happened on set of the 2008 film.

Stephen had a film still from the “Dancing Queen” and “Waterloo” numbers in which they had to wear spandex.

“I don’t think Colin Firth has ever recovered from this moment in spandex,” she said, pointing toward the photo, as seen in the clip shared by E! News.

She remembers that Colin and Pierce came out of their dressing rooms and looked each other up and down, and then Colin said, “I need socks.”

You might not think “socks” are NSFW but the implication is that he was talking about modesty socks that men can wear on their genitals when filming.

Meryl has kicked off The Devil Wears Prada 2 press tour, so along with her visit to the late-night talk show, she was also spotted in Mexico City with co-star Anne Hathaway recently. See the photos here!

Several Mamma Mia stars have talked about wanting to reunite and do a third movie. Last year, there were even talks about a popular pop star potentially joining the cast!
