Donald Trump made a shocking revelation about the people that he likes to associate with.
While speaking at the Future Investment Initiative Priority Summit over the weekend, the 79-year-old president participated in a Q&A where he urged the crowd to ask him “anything you want,” adding that they could even “talk sex.”
A particularly revealing answer came when he was asked to name a “leadership treat the world is missing right now.” His reply led to an explanation on why he likes to have “losers” as his friends.

His response to the question about what is missing in leadership on Friday (March 27) was direct: “Well, it’s winning.”
“I’ve watched a lot of people, leaders, great leaders, and the one thing about sports is you break it down into, you know, a two-hour period. Something nice… You don’t have to wait a lifetime to find out is somebody a winner or a loser. You got a lot of losers. Mostly losers,” he said.
The president continued, saying, “Fortunately, it’s a good thing to have a lot of losers.”
“I always like to hang around losers, actually, because it makes me feel better. I hate guys that are very, very successful, and you have to listen to their success stories. I like people that like to listen to my success,” he said.
Trump said he was “only kidding.” However, he backed down on the joking tone, adding, “Eh, sort of.”
“I find that people that win, it’s much easier to lead when you’re successful, and you win,” he reiterated, citing Vince Lombardi, a celebrated football coach that notably worked with the Green Bay Packers as well as the Washington Redskins, as an example of “a very tough person” and “sort of a violent guy” who “got away with things” because of his winning streak as a coach.
“People follow you if you win. And not everybody can win. Some people win, and some people don’t win,” Trump said.
The president recently attracted attention after deciding to make a comment that he acknowledged would be “the end of [his] political career.”
His latest remarks come amid alleged peace talks that he’s engaging in with Iranian officials after launching a war with the country in February. Trump has made confusing and often seemingly contradictory claims about the status of the fighting and what winning looks like.
