After a fantastic first weekend at the box office, Project Hail Mary brought in $54.5 million in its second weekend, falling only 32% and bringing its domestic total to $164.3 million. Though Scream 7 has done very well, Project Hail Mary seems poised to be the year’s first true blockbuster.
Hoppers repeated in second place at the box office this weekend, with a $12.2 million take in its fourth weekend of release. So far, the film has grossed $138.6 million domestically and $297.6 million worldwide.
The only new wide release of the weekend, They Will Kill You, pulled in just $5 million on a $20 million budget.
In fourth place was Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge, bringing in just over $4.7 million in its second weekend of release, while Reminders of Him came in just behind at $4.7 million flat. Reminders of Him has made $41.7 million domestic on a $25 million budget in three weekends of release.
Ready or Not 2: Here I Come did rather poorly in its second weekend of release, bringing in just $4 million, for a total domestic take of $16.3 million.
