Kristin Cavallari is “thankful” that she and Lauren Conrad could heal their tumultuous friendship.

The reality TV stars repeatedly clashed and had a slew of dramatic moments on MTV’s Laguna Beach, including their love triangle with co-star Stephen Colletti, but getting older has taught Kristin and Lauren not to hold grudges over minor things.
Speaking to People ahead of their return in The Reunion: Laguna Beach, Kristin, 39, said of making peace with Lauren: “I’m really happy about it. I’m thankful that we had the opportunity to even do that.
“And it’s been, obviously, for us, we haven’t had any beefs for the last however many years. We’re adults. We’ve all moved past it, but I think it’s nice and to show everybody that we’ve moved past it is going to be really therapeutic in a lot of ways.
“We squashed it pretty quickly. Everyone wants to still believe that we’re enemies.”
The pair unexpectedly shared “a lot in common” when they got to know each other as grown-ups.
Kristin continued: “But it’s been great getting to know her now as an adult. And I’ve realised we actually have a lot more in common than I think both of us ever thought. So it’s been interesting to see.”
Lauren, 40, echoed her fellow fashion designer Kristin’s sentiments, saying: “I think it was great.
“It was part of what we wanted to show is that we’ve all grown, we’re all adults, a lot of us are parents. And I think that as you get older, you’re not worried about the small stuff.”
And Lauren has enjoyed being pals with Krisitn after filming wrapped for the reunion special of Laguna Beach – which followed the lives of high school students in Southern California, from 2004 until the show’s finale in 2006.
Lauren said: “We’ve been having so much fun just texting and talking and laughing together.”
On Tuesday (24.03.26), the Roku Channel released The Reunion: Laguna Beach trailer, and it started with Lauren and Kristin sitting by a bonfire on the beach as they reflected on their past.
Kristin told her co-star: “We have never had a conversation on camera, just the two of us. Are you ready?”
Lauren looked at Kristin and replied: “No.”
The latter recalled a moment when the cast came together on a set: “They said, ‘Who do you think is gonna be prom queen?’ And I said, ‘I don’t know, and I don’t care, as long as it’s not Lauren Conrad.'”
Lauren chimed in: “We did not like each other.”
