Hulu is reaching out to Marvel fans this week in one of the latest additions to the streamer’s lineup.
The Daredevil: Born Again series, which debuted on Disney+ last year, is now streaming on Hulu for a limited time. Consider it a preview of the two streamers’ eventual merger.
That’s just the first pick for the Watch With Us team as we selected the three popular Hulu movies and TV shows to binge-watch this week.
Our remaining picks include a comedy/drama with a terrific cast and a political satire that may be a little too timely.
‘Daredevil: Born Again’ (2025 – Present)
On March 24, Disney+ will debut the first episode of Daredevil: Born Again season 2. However, Hulu subscribers can now check out the entirety of season 1. Although this show does share continuity with the Daredevil series that ran on Netflix a decade ago, it’s a fresh start for the characters. Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) was once Daredevil, but he gave up his alter ego after a tragedy claimed someone close to him.
Matt’s stayed out of the limelight with a new legal partner, Kirsten McDuffie (Nikki M. James), but New York City needs Daredevil, and he can’t ignore its cries forever. His former adversary, Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio), is the new mayor of New York and one of the few who know that Matt is Daredevil. When Matt inevitably gets back into costume, it’s going to reignite his conflict with the most powerful man in the city. Now that Fisk has control, even the cops are gunning for Daredevil.
Daredevil: Born Again is streaming on Hulu.
‘Is This Thing On?’ (2025)
Bradley Cooper directed the comedy-drama Is This Thing On? and co-wrote the script with Will Arnett and Mark Chappell. Cooper plays a supporting role in the film as Balls, but Arnett takes the lead as Alex Novak, a newly divorced man who must move on from his ex-wife, Tess Novak (Laura Dern).
A pair of classic comedy movies has come home to Hulu, and they’re both better than many of the modern comedies in theaters. ‘Anniversary’ (2025)
Anniversary is a political thriller that went largely unnoticed last year, but it’s already placed highly among Hulu’s movies. Phoebe Dynevor stars as Liz Nettles, a young author who was once a student of Ellen Taylor (Diane Lane). Now, Liz is engaged to Ellen’s son, Rob Taylor (Dylan O’Brien), just as her first book is on its way to becoming a political movement.
As the years pass, Liz gains power and influence while the impact of her movement rocks the Taylors. Ellen’s youngest daughter, Birdie (McKenna Grace), is even willing to risk her life to resist Liz’s fascist ambitions. An idea can’t be killed, but it can cause a lot of damage to the nation and to the Taylors. By the time Liz is done, there may not be much left of either the country or the family.
