Former Bachelorette Rachel Lindsay doesn’t believe The Bachelor franchise can bounce back from the Taylor Frankie Paul scandal.

Rachel, the 40-year-old Bachelorette from season 13, shared her thoughts on the Bachelor Party podcast that aired on Thursday (March 19).

When she learned, in real time, that ABC was scrapping Taylor‘s season of the long-running dating competition show, Rachel said, “I think it’s over,” regarding the franchise.

“I was trying to think of a scenario where it could be different, because this isn’t just, ‘Oh, we put it all on a person. This person did this.’ This is the system that allowed this to happen,” she added.

Rachel continued, “The name Bachelorette, Bachelor is tainted at this point. How do you move forward past that? You can’t.”

Taylor has broken her silence on the network’s decision to cancel her season of the show. Read her statement here.

ABC also stands to lose millions from the choice not to air it.

The decision came after a video leaked showing a 2023 altercation between Taylor and her estranged partner Dakota Mortensen. Taylor is seen violently attacking Dakota and throwing metal chairs at him, one of which is believed to have hit her child.

Earlier this year, Rachel opened up about her divorce from Brian Abasolo.
