Taylor Frankie Paul‘s interview on Live With Kelly and Mark wasn’t censored despite a glitch during the live broadcast.

The Bachelorette lead, 31, appeared on Live With Kelly and Mark on Wednesday, March 18, where Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos started the interview off by asking Paul about the recent headlines regarding her and ex Dakota Mortensen.

“How are you doing? There’s a lot going on with you,” Ripa, 55, asked Paul, who replied, “I’ve had better days, I will say.” While the rest of the answer was cut off, a rep for the show clarified to Us Weekly that it was a simple transmission issue. The audio and video was corrected by the time the episode re-aired on the West Coast.

The full clip showed Paul saying she was happy to be on Live With Kelly and Mark before the topic switched to the reality star’s appearance at the Oscars.

Bachelor Nation hasn’t been shy about sharing their advice — and criticism — for Taylor Frankie Paul ahead of her Bachelorette season. Taylor, 31, was announced as ABC’s season 22 Bachelorette lead in September 2025. Now that Taylor is facing controversy days before her Sunday, March 22, premiere, some alums have changed their tune, while […]

“I showed up and it was a dream, but at the same time I feel like there’s a lot going on,” she noted. “So it’s been just hard.”

Elsewhere in the episode, the hosts played a game with Paul called “I Do or I Don’t” about her time on ABC’s The Bachelorette. Paul confirmed that she did kiss someone on the first night and spent time in the hot tub.

Paul teased moments where she got emotional — but clarified it wasn’t in every episode — and she hinted at making the contestants cry. Viewers can also expect to see Taylor take back some roses, possibly fall for more than one guy and find out that someone is there for the wrong reasons.

After being asked if she used the word “journey” often, Paul quipped, “I did use the word connection [too] but there was no other word. I used to make fun of [other leads] because they overuse it but there’s no other word for that.”

Paul’s appearance on Live With Kelly and Mark comes one day after she broke her silence on production being paused on Secret Lives With Mormon Wives due to allegations of a domestic dispute between her and Dakota, 33.

“There’s more to the context to everything and it’s unfortunate,” she exclusively told Us Weekly on Tuesday, March 17, about how the drama has affected her Bachelorette premiere. “It’s another premiere that’s been taken away from me. I’ve never enjoyed a premiere for any one of my shows. So it’s just been very sad.”

Paul previously teased her excitement about finding love on the show.

“There was no other reason for me to do this other than I wanted to get outside of Utah and the toxicity that I’m in and venture off and really do something for myself,” she exclusively told Us in her recent cover story. “Who gets this opportunity as a single mom to just purely focus on dating and love and yourself? It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. That is why I was there.”

Live With Kelly and Mark airs weekday mornings on ABC at 9 a.m. ET. The Bachelorette season 22 premieres on ABC Sunday, March 22, at 8 p.m. ET and streams the next day on Hulu.
