Heated Rivalry star Hudson Williams may be Connor Storrie’s man on TV, but in real life, his heart belongs to longtime love Katelyn Rose Larson.
Williams became an overnight sensation with his portrayal of hockey player Shane Hollander when Heated Rivalry hit HBO Max in November 2025. Because the show is a queer love story, questions about Williams’ relationship status — and sexuality — started to rise.
“You want to play these characters, whose identity is this huge part of them. It’s intrinsic,” Williams said in a December 2025 interview. “Unfortunately, for many it remains an internal battleground, but it is also something profoundly beautiful — shaping entire lives — and I wanted to honor that.”
Specifically, Williams said he wanted to honor Shane’s queerness.
“It’s different from being bisexual, it’s different from being gay in New York, it’s different from being gay in a very liberal L.A. family,” he explained. “He’s this hyper-disciplined, kind of robotic little hockey boy who comes to terms with him being very gay and very not bi. I think that experience was really important to me.”
The actor was quick to “let go of the pressures” he felt initially.
“Specificity is way more important, I think, when tackling a tricky subject matter than trying to address everything or else it feels more offensive because you simply can’t properly address everyone’s experience,” Williams said. “I just had to focus on this one f***ing robot boy’s little queerness.”
Williams has never publicly labeled his sexuality, but he did take things public with girlfriend Larson in February 2026.
“With me since my gold Mazda protege smoked and squealed and I had no job,” Williams wrote via Instagram Stories at the time, confirming that he’s off the market.
