Paulina Porizkova is all about embracing her body.
Porizkova, 60, showed off her figure in a pink lingerie set while revealing the secret to her self-confidence. In a reel, which she shared via Instagram on Thursday, March 12, Porizkova struck a pose in a sheer lace bra and matching underwear, which she styled with a silk robe. “How do you look so fabulous at 60?” she wrote over the post. Porizkov then cut the camera and zoomed in on herself. “It’s all in good light and posing,” she added.
“The reality is this,” she continued, sharing a closer look at her skin. “I am 60 years old. This is what it looks like.”
Porizkova went on to note that she’s gained “15 pounds” in the past few years. “This tummy is not going anywhere. It carried two children and [it] doesn’t matter how many pilates lessons and how much I love it.” (Porizkova shares shares sons Jonathan, 32, and Oliver, 28, with her late husband Ric Ocasek.)
“But you know what?” she wrote. “I like myself better this way.”
“Smoke and mirrors, folks. That’s how you make it look good for a moment,” the model captioned the post. “The truth is, gravity takes its toll. But! Gravity has also built your strength so you can hold your head higher than ever.”
Porizkova said the lingerie set she was wearing was seven years old and she bought it to impress “someone who couldn’t have cared less about the lingerie.”
“He just needed me to be twenty years younger,” she shared. “And now, even though I barely fit into it, it’s entirely worth to put it on just to see the look on my love’s @sjeffgreenstein face. And so with all the obvious so-called flaws of age, I have never felt sexier and more at home in my skin.” (Porizkova is engaged to writer Jeff Greenstein.)
