The official trailer for Nick Jonas and Paul Rudd‘s upcoming movie Power Ballad just debuted!
Days ahead of it’s North American premiere at 2026 SXSW, Lionsgate unveiled the trailer for the forthcoming music comedy film from writer and director John Carney.

Here’s a synopsis: When Rick (Rudd), a past-his-prime wedding singer, meets fading boy-band star Danny (Jonas) during a gig, the two bond over music and a late-night jam session. But when Danny turns one of Rick’s songs into the hit that reignites his career, Rick sets out to reclaim the recognition he believes he deserves – even if it means risking everything he cares about. From writer-director John Carney, Power Ballad is a feel-good story about music, self-respect, friendship, and the price of ambition.
Also starring in the movie are Peter McDonald, Marcella Plunkett, Havana Rose Liu and Jack Reynor.

If you missed, Nick and Paul stepped out for the world premiere of the movie in Dublin earlier this month. They actually filmed the movie two years ago in Dublin!
