Paloma Faith has welcomed a son after suffering a “painful C-section” on Friday (06.03.25).
Paloma Faith has welcomed a son
The 44-year-old pop star – who has two daughters from a previous relationship with Leyman Lahcine – revealed her little boy arrived early and spent three days in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) after experiencing breathing problems but doctors have since cleared him to go home.
In a post on Instagram, Paloma wrote: “On Friday March 6th I had my third baby , a little boy. He was a bit early and ended up in NICU For 3 days with some breathing problems.
“The midwives and team (Obgyn etc) around me were incredible particularly @missclairemellonandassociates @pat_themidwife @thisisyourbaby365.
“Today we got home! As usual it’s not easy, I’m engorged already, day three intrusive thoughts, in love with my partner and my kids more than ever.
“Just taking it all slow. C sections ARE PAINFUL! He’s perfect and wonderful. Breastfeeding is hard1”
Paloma is believed to have welcomed her son with her new partner Stevie Thomas.
The singer previously teased fans by sharing a video in which she was seemingly going to announce her baby’s gender.
Paloma was seen holding two balloons – one blue and one pink – and saying: “Is it gonna be a boy? Or is it gonna be a girl? I want all of you to know.”
However, she then let the balloons deflate and said: “Oh, come on, does it really matter? It’s 2026 – do we even give a s*** about gender anymore?
“You bloody transphobic homophobic p*****! It’ll be whatever it wants to be when it’s old enough to decide its own identity for God’s sake!”
Paloma opened up about her new man during an appearance on Jamie Laing and Sophie Habboo’s Newly Weds podcast in March, admitting she was considering tying the knot with him after previously declaring herself to be “anti marriage”.
She said: “This is a strange thing. I wasn’t married to my kids’ dad and I’ve always been someone that’s very anti-marriage …
“Because the history of it is that it’s about ownership of women and I’m the child of a feminist. Weirdly, I don’t know what’s changed in me, but this guy gives me a bit like: ‘Oh well’.
“I remember when I met him I was like: ‘I’m never going to get married, don’t ever ask me’. And then over time now I’m like: ‘Yeah I don’t know, I’ll keep an open mind’. I can just feel myself softening.
“‘If my mum hears this she’ll be like: ‘What the hell is going on with you? Is it a mid-life crisis?” I do think having kids with someone is stronger than marriage from experience.”
When asked if she’s in love, the singer said: “Yeah. Also I feel like I’m coming from the perspective that I know how it can pan out as well. It can go still. If we don’t invest, if we don’t ask each other.
“I really also believe in therapy so much. I just think if you get someone good, I think it’s so important. If you’re with someone who’s like I’m willing to go and try that.”
