-The gossip personality, whose real name is Latasha Kebe, launched a GoFundMe campaign this week aimed at paying off a staggering $3.5 million judgment she owes to rap superstar Cardi B. Despite her massive online following, the fundraiser is off to a rocky start, having raised only $1,750 at the time of writing.
-The legal saga began in 2022 when a federal jury found Tasha K liable for defamation, invasion of privacy, and intentional infliction of emotional distress following a “malicious campaign” of false claims against Cardi B. After losing her appeals and filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, Tasha is now under a court-ordered plan to settle the debt.
-Tasha revealed that she is currently paying $20,000 per month toward the judgment from her own pocket, a commitment she says will continue regardless of the GoFundMe’s success. She described the ongoing legal pressure as a “system that never seems to end,” noting that creditors can still bring her back to court for examinations and filings even while she makes her payments.
-“I don’t have $3.5 million sitting in cash, but with the help of my community we can accelerate paying this off so I can finally move forward and focus on creating, reporting, and entertaining without constant interruption,” she added. To further incentivize her supporters, she announced an upcoming Kickstarter campaign featuring exclusive merchandise.
