Tinker Bell is getting a live-action TV show!
The iconic fairy from Peter Pan will be the subject of an upcoming drama series from Liz Heldens and Bridget Carpenter at Disney+, called Tink.

The show is considered a “major project” for the streamer, and Disney has “been plotting an updated version of the classic character” for some time, per Deadline.
Tinker Bell first appeared in 1953′s Peter Pan, but has much older origins: she first appeared in J.M. Barrie‘s story, Peter and Wendy, as Peter Pan’s fairy sidekick. The story was released as a play in 1904, and was later adapted into a novel six years later.
A decade ago, Reese Witherspoon was set to play the lead in a live-action movie named Tink. More recently, Yara Shahidi played Tinker Bell in 2023′s Peter Pan & Wendy.
Casting details have not been revealed yet, nor has any release date or plot info.
The show’s creators worked together on the Friday Night Lights series. Liz is currently co-showrunner on ABC’s Will Trent, while Bridget has written and produced shows like Westworld and Only Murders In The Building.
