Nathan Fillion teases that a ‘Firefly’ announcement is coming March 15

Something is up with the cast of Firefly. Starting a week ago, Nathan Fillion began posting videos on his (podcast) instagram visiting his former Firefly cast members. It started with Gina Torres in a reel where she says “is it time?” and he agrees, “it’s time we had this conversation“. In a visit with Sean Maher, he let people know it’s not a convention, cross-over, or podcast, like some people were assuming as he posted it from his podcast insta. Summer Glau stated she knew the day would come. Finally, in a reel with Jewel Staite, he let people know an actual announcement was coming on Sunday, March 15th.
And then he went and saw Adam Baldwin, who confirmed he was in. Unsure if MAGAT Adam – who once compared gay marriage to incest – truly understands what Firefly stands for, but he was wearing a hat and eating an apple off of a knife.
Speculation has increased since the reels were posted, with people wondering if it’s a reunion special, a funko pop announcement, another movie, or an actual reboot of the series. One thing’s for sure, if there isn’t a movie or reboot coming after all this hoopla, there are bound to be some disappointed fans out there. One fan commented on his last reel “Nathan if this isn’t what we’re all hoping for may you step on legos every day for the rest of your life…”
