- The NYT has published an article exposing the abusive and toxic working environment of one of the worlds most celebrated restaurants, Noma in Copenhagen.
- Headchef and founder Rene Redzepi is said to have inflicted "violent punishments and pyschological abuse" towards his staff, threatening blacklisting, deportation, amongst other things.
- One former cook alleges Redzepi pushed him against a wall and punched him twice in the stomach for leaving a tweezer mark in a flower petal that was being plated up. Dozens of former workers are corroborating these stories.
- Rene Redzepi apologises while not admiting to anything, saying, "Although I don't recognise all details in these stories, I can see enough of my past behaviour reflected in them to understand that my actions were harmful to people who worked with me. To those who have suffered under my leadership, my bad judgement, or my anger, I am deeply sorry and I have worked to change."
- Sohla El-Waylly, who helped blow up Bon Appetite on their unfair working conditions and racist management, commented on the post in Instagram, seemingly calling out David Chang and him being protected by Priya Krishna, who is also Bon Appetite alum.
