Jessie Buckley was a big winner at the 2026 Actor Awards, previously known as the SAG Awards, on Sunday (March 1) at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.
The 36-year-old actress was awarded Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role for her work in the movie Hamnet.
She picked up the only win of the night for the Chloe Zhao-directed film, which was up for three awards, including Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture and Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role for Paul Mescal.
During her speech, Jessie shared a special thank you to her co-star and date Emily Watson.
“To share those scenes with you in Hamnet, I will cherish that for the rest of my life,” she said. “Your wild imagination, your brave, untethered womanhood, your ferocious gentleness, is a guiding light to me. And the best advice that you always give to me is to always go back to the well of just being human. Ground zero, babe. You’re the realest of the real.”
