1000-Lb. Sisters star Amy Lovvorn (née Slaton) has a whole new look — literally and figuratively.
Lovvorn, 38, showed off the results of her eye surgery in a TikTok clip posted in July 2025, prior to the procedure being aired in an upcoming episode of the TLC series.
The mom of two went under the knife to repair her lazy eye in a teaser clip obtained by TMZ on Friday, February 27.
“In order to repair that, [the doctor] also gotta work on the other eye,” Lovvorn’s then-fiancé, Brian Lovvorn, said in the video. “So, she’ll be getting surgery on both eyes today.”
“I’d say my biggest worry is anesthesia because, I mean, there’s always a chance you don’t come out of it I guess,” Brian, 52, said as she underwent the procedure. “So, I mean, I’m hoping for the best but it is tough to just have to sit and wait.”
Her eye surgeon, Dr. Sean Donahue MD, began the process after she was asleep, placing instruments in her eyelids. “We’re going to make an incision in the skin of the eye, up on the left side, and we’ll loosen the outside muscle,” he explained to the film crew as they documented Amy’s surgery for the show. “We’ll then rotate the eye into the position we want it to be,” he added. “And then we’ll go over to the other side.”
The doctor clarified the right eye only needed correction due to its “overelevation” so “we’re going to correct the muscle that’s causing those eyes to drift out when she looks up and have less outward drift when she looks down.”
Amy previously shared that she had ocular toxoplasmosis since birth in a 2015 YouTube video, an infection in the eye caused by a parasite, which led to severe vision impairment and her to be declared legally blind in one eye.
Although she likely underwent the procedure sometime last year, fans will finally get to see it play out.
In recent months, Brian and Amy also tied the knot. The couple made it official on Halloween 2025 during an intimate ceremony held at Talbott Tavern, a venue that is claimed to be haunted, in Bardstown, Kentucky.
“My wedding is a dream finally coming true,” Amy told People after their nuptials, revealing she dyed her hair pink, per his request, for the special occasion. “I’m getting my happily ever after!” Brian and Amy got engaged in 2024 after meeting at a concert at the park.
“Getting married means that I’m no longer lonely because I’ve discovered my soulmate, Brian, is my happy place!” she gushed. “Not only did he capture my heart, but he also won over my boys and not many men out there will accept a single mom with two energetic boys!” (Amy shares two sons, Gage Deon, 5, and Glenn Allen, 3, with ex-husband Michael Halterman.)
The couple’s friend Billy served as officiant, resuming the duties after officiating her sister Tammy Slaton and late husband Caleb Willingham’s wedding in 2022.
