NBC‘s Today is continuing to find a way to continue on amid Nancy Guthrie‘s disappearance.
Savannah Guthrie has stepped away from the morning show, as the search continues for her mother, who was last seen on January 31. Authorities are investigating what they believe may be a kidnapping, as a masked person was seen on camera outside Nancy‘s home in Arizona, though no suspect has been identified.

Savannah‘s family is now offering a reward of up to $1 million for information, and the FBI is also offering a $100,00 reward. In a recent message, Savannahsaid her family is still hoping for a miracle.
Savannah “is expected to return to the show on her own timeline, even if she requires a significant period to feel ready to do so,” a source tells Variety.
Meanwhile, Hoda Kotb has extended her return to co-anchor Today alongside Craig Melvin, People confirmed. This will be her fourth week doing so. She previously left full-time duties in 2025, but returned on February 6 amid the search.
The show also added yellow ribbons and flowers to the set in support of Nancy.
The show’s ratings have surged amid support for Savannah, rising nearly 20% compared to last year amid the story of the disappearance.
