Robert Carradine passed away February 23rd at the age of 71 in Los Angeles, per a statement released by his brother and fellow actor, Keith Carrdine. A member of the Carradine family, he made his first appearances on television Western series such as Bonanza and his brother David’s TV series, Kung Fu. Carradine is probably most remembered for his roles as fraternity nerd Lewis Skolnick in the Revenge of the Nerds films and Sam McGuire in the Disney Channel series Lizzie McGuire.

As an adult I realized how freaking problematic Revenge of the Nerds was but my messed up 10 year old self was obsessed with it. I’ll eventually work through it in therapy. And of course he was so perfect as quirky dad Sam McGuire
