The 2026 FIFA World Cup is one of the most anticipated sporting events of the decade, with unprecedented demand expected as the tournament comes to North America for the first time in more than 30 years.

That demand makes tickets especially hard to lock down. Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card holders, however, will soon get a special opportunity to purchase tickets without going through FIFA’s general lottery system — a perk that could make the difference between watching from home and securing a seat in the stands.

If you’re a Venture X cardholder and attending the World Cup is on your bucket list, here’s what you need to know.

Capital One Venture X World Cup ticket sale details

From Feb. 12 through Feb. 24, eligible Capital One Venture X cardholders will have access to a dedicated ticket sale for select 2026 FIFA World Cup matches across U.S. host cities. Tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. The sale will start Feb. 12 at 12 p.m. EST.

Unlike FIFA’s traditional lottery process, this sale allows cardholders to purchase tickets directly once their eligibility is verified. Each eligible cardholder may buy up to four total tickets through this offer.

This opportunity is available to Venture X primary cardholders, account managers and authorized users whose accounts are in good standing, meaning your account must not be delinquent, closed or restricted during the offer period. Capital One Venture X Business cardholders are not eligible.

    How to purchase tickets

The purchase process is straightforward but time-sensitive.

Cardholders will begin by visiting the dedicated Capital One Venture X ticket access page and entering their 16-digit card number to confirm eligibility.

After verification, they’ll be redirected to a FIFA ticketing portal where available matches and seating options can be viewed and purchased directly through FIFA’s official system.

A FIFA ID is required to complete the purchase, so cardholders may want to create or confirm their account ahead of time to avoid delays once the sale opens.

    Important things to know

In order to access the sale, there are a few key limitations to keep in mind:

    • Tickets are not eligible for miles redemption and must be purchased with the Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card.
    • Availability is limited and not guaranteed.
    • The offer is nontransferable and may end once tickets sell out.
    • Only physical Venture X card numbers can be used for verification — virtual card numbers won’t work.
    • Upgrading, downgrading or product-changing your Venture X during the offer period can void eligibility.

Is the Venture X worth it for ticket access?

While this ticket sale alone may not justify applying for a new credit card, it could be a compelling added perk for anyone already considering the Capital One Venture X. The card carries a premium annual fee of $395, but it also comes with plenty of perks, including a $300 annual travel credit, airport lounge access and strong earning rates on travel purchases. For those reasons, the Venture X is one of the most used cards in my wallet.

    Bottom line

World Cup tickets are notoriously difficult to score, especially for U.S. matches. Venture X cardholders will get a short but valuable head start from Feb. 12 to Feb. 24, with the ability to purchase up to four tickets before FIFA’s general sale goes live.

If you’re hoping to attend the 2026 tournament, this exclusive sale could make all the difference.
