The 31-year-old actor was revealed to have quietly become a dad for the first time last month when he was pictured with his child in a baby carrier alongside a mystery woman, and he has now shared a photo of himself with his son.
He captioned the Instagram post: “Fatherhood is exhilarating, exhausting, it’s everything and more. The present feels more present and the future brighter.
“He wakes us up all night and yet I’ve never felt stronger during the day. He goes from crying to laughing, expressing everything he feels and it’s freed me to do the same.
“I wanted to keep it sacred, just for us, but now I want to share this story with you as it’s the brightest happiest thing I’ve ever experienced. I hope it brings you happiness too. So much love, Ansel.”
The Fault in Our Stars actor also shared a video of himself playing the guitar and singing to his son while the tot sat in a bouncer.
He sang: “Welcome to the world, little squirrel. Welcome to planet Earth. This is your turf.”

Ansel was photographed on January 13 running errands in New York with the baby strapped to his chest in a carrier. Despite the life-changing milestone, he appeared relaxed and casual for the winter stroll, wearing black leather trousers, matching boots tucked beneath them, and a blue-and-white knit sweater.
He was accompanied by an unknown woman, who kept a similarly understated profile in denim jeans, a black top and a white cropped puffer jacket. The pair were later seen taking the subway together, where they reportedly met up with two older individuals believed to be the woman’s parents.
The Goldfinch star has long been known for keeping his personal life relatively private, particularly in recent years. He was previously in a high-profile relationship with ballerina Violetta Komyshan, whom he dated for nearly a decade. The former couple first met as teenagers while attending LaGuardia High School in New York City and were often seen supporting one another at public events and premieres.
Rumours of their split began circulating in August 2022 after Ansel gort was photographed kissing a mystery woman. The break-up was later confirmed, with reports stating the pair had officially ended their relationship in November of that year.
