Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua is going viral for an unusual tweet he sent out during the 2026 Super Bowl.

Sam Darnold, the 28-year-old quarterback for the Seattle Seahawks, helped lead the team to their triumphant victory over the New England Patriots.

Statistically, he completed 19 of 38 passes for 202 yards with one touchdown and no interceptions. Not the flashiest game, but not turning the ball over was huge while playing against the Patriots’ strong defense.

During the game, Puka sent out a tweet that is getting a lot of attention.

“😂 sam darnold,” he posted on X.

While he has not addressed why he posted this, many believe it could be shady. The Seahawks and Rams are rivals, with the Seahawks actually beating the Rams in the NFC Championship Game in late January.

In response to the laughing at Sam Darnold post, someone did point out that Puka’s own X profile says “spread love,” to which he responded, “This is good.”

His tweet has drawn criticism from many around the league, including former NFL player Emmanuel Acho, who posted, “Puka needs to chill out and give Sam Darnold his RESPECT! Sam Darnold beat Puka and then won a Super Bowl, what the heck Puka laughing for?!”

Seahawks player Ernest Jones even responded, writing, “Ain’t you at home. Goofy ass.”

This is not the first time Puka has had issues on Twitter. See what he tweeted and deleted this season.
