Diane Lane is the latest star to join the cast of filmmaker Mike Flanagan‘s new The Exorcist movie!
On Tuesday (January 27), it was announced that the 61-year-old Oscar-nominated actress has signed on to star alongside Scarlett Johansson in the next installment of the iconic horror franchise, Deadline reports.

Mike himself will be writing, directing, and producing. He’s best known for projects like The Haunting of Hill House, Midnight Mass, Doctor Sleep, and The Fall of the House of Usher.
His version of The Exorcist is meant to be a “radical new take” on the iconic property started by William Peter Blatty‘s novel of the same name, which adapted into the 1973 horror classic starring Linda Blair and Ellen Burstyn.
Jacobi Jupe, best known for the acclaimed film Hamnet, will also be starring in the movie.
