Hulu’s hit drama Tell Me Lies isn’t slowing down anytime soon — and fans are already wondering: Will there be a Season 4?
The series returned with a supersized Season 3 premiere on January 13, drawing viewers into the turbulent, intoxicating world of Lucy Albright (Grace Van Patten) and Stephen DeMarco (Jackson White). Based on Carola Lovering’s 2018 best-selling novel, the show spans eight years of their relationship across dual timelines in 2008 and 2015. Alongside the new episodes, Hulu has boosted the buzz with a companion podcast hosted by Stassi Schroeder, keeping fans fully immersed.
With only a few episodes left this season, speculation is mounting: Is Season 3 the end, or is there more to come?
Will There Be a ‘Tell Me Lies’ Season 4?
As of January 2026, Hulu has not officially renewed Tell Me Lies for a fourth season. That doesn’t mean a renewal is off the table. Showrunner Meaghan Oppenheimer shared insight into her plans for the series with Decider.
“Without spoiling any key storylines, after seeing all eight Tell Me Lies Season 3 episodes, I can confidently report that there’s a satisfying sense of closure in the story,” Oppenheimer said. “That said, while the finale did feel like it could easily mark the end of Tell Me Lies, I also had a list of lingering questions and saw potential for more stories to be told.”
When asked if she had a set arc in mind after Season 2, Oppenheimer explained, “I think it really just depends. I think most shows nowadays do well with three seasons. I think that’s a very clean, good number to me — especially when it’s something that’s a smaller story, not a big procedural thing. I would rather have something end when it’s good than just drag it out too long.”
Ahead of Season 3, she had also told Decider, “I can’t confirm anything. You know, this was definitely the ending I had in mind from the beginning, to a certain degree. But obviously things change. We are all just so focused on this season right now. I’m not sure.”
