Donald Trump said that ICE agents will make “mistakes” when addressing the fatal shooting of Renee Good.
On Tuesday (June 20), the 79-year-old president attended a press conference marking the anniversary of his second inauguration.
During it, he discussed a wide variety of topics, including his immigration crackdown that has seen U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents setting up operations in major cities across the United States, including in Minneapolis and Chicago.
While addressing the January 7 shooting of Good, he acknowledged that the agency would “make mistakes” and “be too rough” sometimes.

“They’re gonna make mistakes sometimes,” he told the press. “ICE is gonna be too rough with somebody. Or, you know, they’re dealing with rough people. They’re gonna make a mistake sometimes. It can happen.”
Trump added that he “felt horribly” about Good‘s death, describing it as “a tragedy.”
“It’s a horrible thing. ICE would say the same thing,” he said.
Over the weekend, ICE agents were caught on camera taking an elderly man out of his home in freezing temperatures wearing nothing but his underwear and a blanket.
