Kyle Richards is weighing in on Ashley Darby “flirting” with estranged husband Mauricio Umansky during his appearance on The Real Housewives of Potomac.
“We actually talked about this the other day. I don’t know how it was portrayed because I haven’t seen the scenes — I saw something on Watch What Happens Live — but, I mean, if she was flirting, that’s weird,” Richards, 57, said while answering a fan question during a Wednesday, January 21, Amazon Live, per a fan’s recording.
She continued, “I would never — I was talking about this yesterday — be able to date anybody that any of the women, Housewives, dated or were married to. That’s just weird. I don’t know. I’m like, ‘You’re embarrassing yourself doing that on camera.’ He just bumped into them, by the way.”
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star said Gizelle Bryant texted her “right away” that they crossed paths with Umansky, because she allegedly “felt uncomfortable.”
“She was like, ‘Just so you know, we just ran into Mauricio and blah, blah, blah,’” Richards said of Bryant’s message. “I was like, ‘All good.’ I couldn’t care, you know. Everyone can do what they want. I just thought, ‘That’s embarrassing.’ I don’t know. Like I said, I didn’t really see it though, so I shouldn’t really comment.”
When the season 10 RHOP trailer was released in August 2025, fans noticed that Umansky was mingling with the cast.
“He’s a smooth cat,” Darby exclusively teased to Us Weekly in October 2025. “That guy is very smooth.”
Us confirmed in July 2023 that Richards and Umansky were separating after 27 years of marriage. The twosome confirmed the news in a joint Instagram statement, sharing that “claims regarding us divorcing are untrue.”

“However, yes, we have had a rough year,” the post read. “The most challenging one of our marriage. But we both love and respect each other tremendously. There has been no wrongdoing on anyone’s part. Although we are in the public eye, we ask to be able to work through our issues privately.”
Richards and the Buying Beverly Hills star have remained cordial, being spotted together on multiple occasions while celebrating the holidays in 2025 — but there’s no reconciliation.
“They are not getting back together or rekindling their romance,” a source exclusively told Us earlier this month, noting that the pair are “in a really good place” with their current relationship.
The insider noted that there’s “still so much love” between the exes, who share daughters Alexia, 29, Sophia, 25, and Portia, 18. (Umansky is also stepdad to Richards’ daughter Farrah, 37, from a previous marriage.)

“Kyle and Mau have done a good job maintaining normalcy in front of the girls especially during the holiday season,” the source continued. “Of course it would be great if they called off their separation, but the family knows it’s most likely not going to happen.”
The insider added that Richards and Umansky are “genuinely friends right now and still have so much fun together.”
“They have been loving toward one another, but that doesn’t mean they are getting back together,” the source shared. “Everyone is very happy.”
