Nikki Glaser has nothing but admiration for Taylor Swift’s relationship with Travis Kelce — and she isn’t holding back.
The comedian recently spoke to Parade magazine about Swift’s romance with the Kansas City Chiefs star, gushing over the way Kelce supports one of the most powerful women in the world.
For Glaser, the relationship represents something far bigger than celebrity romance.
“She’s living the best life. What a blessed woman,” Glaser said. “She’s found a perfect person for her — someone who isn’t threatened by her and truly uplifts her. I think it’s inspirational and aspirational for so many women to see the relationship she’s finally found herself in, especially one she’s kind of letting us peek behind the scenes of in this new documentary series.”
Glaser went on to explain why Swift and Kelce’s dynamic feels so meaningful, particularly for women who may be questioning their own relationships.
“I hope a lot of women reassess the relationships they’re in,” she shared. “They can maybe demand someone who uplifts them as much as Travis does and isn’t threatened by them.”
According to Glaser, being romantically involved with a woman as powerful and visible as Swift requires a certain level of confidence — and emotional security.
“It’s hard for men to be with a powerful woman. It just is,” she said candidly. “It’s not even their fault — I’m not even mad about it. It’s just the way masculine and feminine energy can be. Men often want to be the leaders, the ones in the spotlight, the protectors. So to be with a woman who demands that much attention, it takes a special guy.”
Glaser also paid subtle tribute to Swift during the Golden Globe Awards on Sunday night, January 11, weaving several of the singer’s tracks throughout the star-studded ceremony.
As Glaser took the stage for her opening monologue, she strutted confidently to Swift’s 1989 hit “Style,” setting the tone for the night. Swift’s music continued to pop up throughout the broadcast, with “Shake It Off” and “The Fate of Ophelia” playing at different moments during the ceremony.
Notably, Swift’s ex-boyfriend of six years, actor Joe Alwyn, was seated in the audience, leaving many Swifties wondering what he might have thought. Alwyn and Swift ended their relationship in the spring of 2023, and the Love Story singer began dating Travis Kelce later that September.
