Alix Earle is opening up about a deeply personal chapter for her family.
The influencer, 25, revealed that her mom, Alisa Earle, has been diagnosed with breast cancer, sharing an emotional tribute on Sunday, January 11. Alix posted a heartfelt video to Instagram and TikTok that showed her and sister Ashtin standing by their mom’s side in the hospital — doing her hair, holding her hand and sharing ice cream and drinks together during her recovery.
The clip featured the words “F!ck Cancer” across the screen, paired with a powerful voiceover that said, “Strong women never give up. We might need a coffee, we might need a good cry, we might need a day in bed but we will always come back stronger.”
Alix captioned the post with a message of pride and love for her mom: “Go momma! So proud and inspired by you 💕 no challenge you can’t face and come back stronger .. I love you! #breastcancerawareness.”

Following the post, Alix shared more details with fans, confirming that her family received Alisa’s diagnosis halfway through her time competing on Dancing With the Stars season 34. After a social media user commented about her “struggling” during the competition, Alix replied, “We found out abt halfway through the season and she still showed up every week 💗.” Alix ultimately finished the season as runner-up alongside pro partner Val Chmerkovskiy.
Earlier this month, Alix had hinted at her mom’s health battle while discussing a whirlwind travel schedule. In a January 7 video, she revealed that Alisa was hospitalized for an operation. “Back home in Jersey, my mom is in the hospital for her operation right now, so I’m going to go see her,” she told followers at the time. “I may or may not talk more about this this week. I just want to see how everything goes and, first of all, just be there for her.”
She also shared how emotionally difficult the situation had been. “It’s also something that, during my travels, I had a few cries,” Alix admitted, noting that her mom’s boyfriend and sister had been with her that morning. “So, we’re gonna pick her up tomorrow morning from the hospital, because we are gonna be taking care of her.”
Alix had previously alluded to her mom’s health concerns in a December 28 TikTok, revealing that she and Ashtin spent the day after Christmas at the hospital meeting with doctors. “That day was honestly a little hard for me,” she said. “This was also something we found out about while I was on Dancing with the Stars, so that was just another one of the things I was dealing with.”
After wrapping the competition, Alix reflected on how much she kept private during the experience. In a late November TikTok, she admitted the 11-week journey had been “emotional,” explaining, “There were a lot of points throughout the season that I was sitting with myself and in these thoughts and started to realize these things or realize what I wanted in life. And I think as those thoughts would come up, I think it was scary.”
