Amy Schumer has officially filed for divorce from her husband, Chris Fischer, Us Weekly can confirm.
The actress, 44, submitted her filing on Tuesday, January 6, with the New York County Supreme Court, according to docs obtained by Us.
The case type is listed as “matrimonial — uncontested,” per the filing, which comes less than one month after Schumer confirmed the pair had parted ways.
“Blah blah blah Chris and I have made the difficult decision to end our marriage after 7 years,” Schumer announced via Instagram on December 12, 2025. “We love each other very much and will continue to focus on raising our son. We would appreciate people respecting our privacy at this time.”
At the time, Schumer shared a photo of her and her estranged spouse, 45, smiling while riding the New York City subway together.
Schumer reassured her followers that she did not split from Fischer because she “dropped some lbs” or because Fischer is a “hot” James Beard “award winning chef who can still pull some hot tail. Amicable and all love and respect! Family forever.”
