Timothée, 30, took home the award for Best Actor at the 2026 Critics Choice Awards for his role in Marty Supreme on Jan. 6, 2025. While the win marked a major career milestone, fans were surprised when he mentioned his girlfriend in his speech — the very first time he’s publicly acknowledged her.
After thanking his fellow nominees, his team, and director Josh Safdie, Timothée turned his focus to someone in the audience.
“And lastly, I’ll just say, thank you to my partner of three years,” he said, addressing Kylie directly. “Thank you for our foundation. I love you. I couldn’t do this without you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, thank you so much,” he continued, motioning toward Kylie.
Cameras quickly caught Kylie, who was sitting next to her boyfriend all night, mouthing, “I love you, too,” back at him.

Despite their high-profile status, both Timothée and Kylie have been consistent about maintaining boundaries around their relationship.
Kylie addressed her approach to privacy in fall 2025, explaining to Elle why she prefers to keep her personal life out of the public eye. “I think it’s important to keep things to yourself,” she said. “It’s hard for me to make a decision by myself sometimes, so the opinion of the whole world…it can be tough.”
Timothée echoed that same sentiment just months later during a November 2025 interview with Vogue, when he was asked about Kylie.
“And I don’t say that with any fear, I just don’t have anything to say,” he responded.
While brief, the comment reinforced the actor’s long-standing stance: his relationship is something he values deeply, but doesn’t feel the need to explain.
Still, that hasn’t stopped insiders from sharing insight into just how serious things have become behind the scenes.
In May 2025, a source exclusively told Life & Style that Kylie had been dropping hints about being ready for engagement. “Friends say Kylie is very picky about what jewelry she likes, so as much as she loves the idea of Timothée [choosing] her ring, the truth is she would rather have some input,” the insider said, noting that she’s a “perfectionist” at heart.
“Kylie has a vision for everything,” the source added, revealing that she’s “gone so far as to show Timothée photos of the [ring] styles she likes.” Still, the insider emphasized that for Kylie, “it’s just about being Timothée’s wife.”

Though they rarely talk about each other in interview or post about the other on social media, Timothée and Kylie’s PDA moments and red carpet appearances have been pretty iconic.
The couple confirmed their romance in September 2023 at the U.S. Open, where they were photographed sharing kisses while sitting in the stands. The sighting came after months of dating rumors, effectively putting speculation to rest.
They later made their official red carpet debut in May 2025 at the 70th David Di Donatello Awards in Rome, Italy, and looked absolutely smitten with one another.
