TikTok users are noticing a bit of a glitch on Sunday (December 28), and everyone is wondering what is up.
If you’ve been scrolling today, you may have noticed that old videos that you’ve already seen, liked, or commented on have been popping back up in the For You section.
Users quickly flooded X with questions, with one user writing, “Yall are old videos yall already seen popping up on yall fyp on TikTok? Every time refresh another video i already seen.”

Many responded with fixes they tried and theories they have, including, “yes i closed the app out like 3 times thinking i was crazy,” “Yep! Did the Oracle group already take over and ruin the algorithm?,” and “I thought I was tweaking. & they sending me old notifications from my post too😂.”
Users have also shared that they tried restarting the app, checking for an update, tried clearing their caches, and more. So far, nothing seems to be sticking in terms of fixes.
It’s unclear what is going on, but at the time of this posting, users are still complaining. We will update if there’s any fixes reported.
