In April 2025, Brand was charged with one count of rape, one count of indecent assault, one count of oral rape, and two counts of sexual assault. Days later, he was suspended indefinitely from his role as an ambassador for the Tiggywinkles Wildlife Hospital charity and dropped as a celebrity spokesperson for the American Catholic meditation and prayer app Hallow. He entered a plea of not guilty, and the trial is scheduled to begin in June 2026.
This week, two more criminal charges have been filed against Brand. The new charges are one count of rape and one count of sexual assault that are related to two additional women. He is scheduled to appear in court to enter a plea in January 2026.
After the new charges were announced, he posted a video praying to Jesus. He said he wants people “to understand the truth of my situation and scenario.” In the video, he also said: “I pray, Lord, anyone that I’ve harmed or hurt in my years of mindlessness and sin would be healed, Lord. And I pray, Lord, for the absolute truth of who I am to be abundantly revealed.”
He made an appearance at last week’s Turning Point AmericaFest in Arizona. He said Katy Perry’s parents were in the audience and then made a joke about his ex-wife dating Justin Trudeau.
