It seems even the Knicks are on Team Conrad!
On December 21, the New York Knicks Instagram page posted a carousel of photos and videos of actor Christopher Briney attending one of their games at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
Briney is best known for his role as Conrad Fisher, part of the main love triangle on the Prime Video teen romance series The Summer I Turned Pretty (TSITP).
As part of the love triangle, he and his brother, Jeremiah Fisher (played by Gavin Casalegno) compete for the affections of main character Belly Conklin (played by Lola Tung).
This has prompted the fan base to hotly debate whether they are “Team Conrad” or “Team Jeremiah” throughout the series.
In the Knicks’ Instagram post, Briney can be seen receiving a gift, which is revealed to be a signed jersey from Knicks player Jalen Brunson.
Along with his signature, Brunson left Briney a message, making his loyalty clear: “To Chris, Team Conrad.”
And it seems the feeling is mutual. Briney was stunned by the gift, asking if he was being played.
Briney has quite the affinity for the Knicks, having been spotted at several of their games throughout the season decked out in full Knicks gear.
He even made headlines by bringing his TSITP castmate and real life bestie Sean Kaufman (who plays Belly’s brother, Steven Conklin) along for a game and giving him a pretend smooch for the jumbotron back in November.
Briney was also seen in another recent post on the team’s feed, helping promote voting the Knicks into the 2026 All-Star game.
