TikTok influencer Ash Trevino, whose full name is Ashley Lopez-Trevino, is no stranger to scandals.
But this time, she seems to be in serious trouble with the law.
The influencer, who is well-known online for purposefully dating inmates, may be on the path to becoming one herself.
On December 17, Trevino is confirmed to have been booked into the Ellis County Jail in Waxahachie, Texas.
Police chief James Groom shed some light on the arrest to PEOPLE in a statement.
Groom stated that a patrol officer for the Venus Police Department, who was aware of the influencer’s “active felony warrants out of the Ellis County Sheriff’s Office,” made contact with the creator in her front yard at 7:50 p.m. on December 17.
She was then taken into custody “without incident,” he continued in the statement.
A spokesperson for the Ellis County Sheriff’s Office then confirmed to PEOPLE that their records show Trevino was bonded out of jail.
They also confirmed that her bond had been set at $15,000.
No further information was given from the authorities about the incident.
In typical Ash Trevino style, the influencer went live soon after being released to update her followers on the situation.
Clips from the livestream recorded and uploaded by others online show Trevino celebrating her release.
“They can’t hold me down, what the f—?” Trevino said during the livestream.
“Haters are gonna pray on my downfall and watch, watch. I’mma fight this,” she continued, seemingly referring to her charges.
In another clip Trevino explained to her followers that it didn’t take long for her to get out of jail, saying she contacted an attorney shortly after her arrest on the evening of December 17 and she was released the next morning, saying she was “blessed.”
So far, reporting outlets have not been able to officially confirm what her arrest warrants were in relation to.
It is also unknown at this time whether formal charges have been brought or when her arraignment would be scheduled to occur.
